Two Wheeler Vehicle : Customization and Implementation of Hyperworks/MotionView for Two-poster Simulation of a motorcycle

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this project was to develop and implement a customized MotionView environment for two-poster simulation and correlate with test data results.

INPUT

Primary subsystems used to model the motorcycle are front telescopic suspension, rear swing-arm suspension, flexible frame and rider mass, engine, etc.
Time-domain test data input as excitation input at front & rear actuators.

MODEL


Two-poster ride simulation model

RESULT

Time domain Acceleration output at different locations at rider seat, foot-rest, handlebar, etc are plotted from simulation and compared with test data results.

CONCLUSION

Customer was able to build and carry out two-poster simulations and correlate with test data to get specific ride outputs in a shorter duration.
