OBJECTIVE

The objective of this project was to develop and implement a customized tool to try different design variations for a Steering Mechanism.

INPUT

Mass, inertia of primary steering system parts, hardpoints, gear ratios, etc

MODEL


RESULT

Standard suspension/steering characteristic output data such as Ackerman angle, Ackerman error, turn radius, toe-angle, joint forces, etc., w.r.t steering wheel angle input.

CONCLUSION

Customer was able to build and carry out two-poster simulations and correlate with test data to get specific ride outputs in a shorter duration.
