Passenger Car : Modelling and simulation of automotive window regulator mechanism to know the effect of number of gear tooths and variation in gear center distance.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this project was to develop a simulation model to predict uneven/ intermittent/ chatter behavior of pinion torque, get input torque required at pinion and predict effect of design variables on pinion torque & Arrive at optimum solution

INPUT

Mass, inertia of primary window regulator parts, gear tooth profiles, parametric modeling of center distance, etc.

MODEL



RESULT

Pinion torque variations due to gear tooth profiles.

CONCLUSION

Customer was able to simulate the intermittent pinion torque due to gear tooth variations, center distance, etc.
