Commercial Vehicle: Modeling and simulation of Braking in a Turn maneuver for a Light Commercial Vehicle.
OBJECTIVE
The objective is to model and simulate the HCV maneuvering on a braking in a turn, double lance change conditions.
INPUT
Primary subsystems used to model the full vehicle are front leafspring suspension, rear leaf spring with helper spring suspension, rigid chassis, rigid cabin, cargo, powertrain, tires. The vehicle is driven using open/closed steering input motion.
MODEL
RESULT
The results such as vehicle lateral acceleration, tire lift-off effects were predicted and correlated with test data.
