Flow analysis in a duct panel

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this project was to determine the velocity distribution, mass flow rate at the different flow lines.

INPUT

Fluid properties :-

. Fluid - Air
. Temperature - 25oC
. Density - 1.185 kg/m3.Mass flow rate - 175 cfm.

Inflow Boundary :-

. Mass flow rate was specified at the inlet boundary.
. The standard k-epsilon model is considering 5% turbulence intensity at the inlet.

MODEL



RESULT

The mass flow rate for all possible outlet and flow lines along with velocity vector was determined. These information was used as input for all design modification of the duct panel.
