Simulation of snap action between speaker gasket and outer shell

OBJECTIVE

Simulation of snap action between speaker gasket and outer shell is analysed. The objective is to determine the stresses developed during snap process for a displacement of 5 mm over a period of 1second.

INPUT

. Material property of speaker gasket and the outer shell.
. Boundary condition: The base of the outer shell is fixed at the bolting location. The gasket is made of plastic.

RESULT

The stresses developed during the snap were below the maximum stresses desirable for its service conditions.
